Team Associated Flyin' Ryans Win Big at Sidewinder Nitro Explosion
No one you follows RC racing should be too surprised when the two Ryans at Team Associated, Ryan Cavalieri and Ryan Maifield, win races. In fact, it’s far more surprising when they don’t. Well, they were up to their winning ways when the attended the 2011 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion race held at ARC Raceway in Temecula, CA for the first time.
Associated states:
Taking the top two grid positions in the Expert Gas Buggy, Ryan Maifield starting on pole for the 35-minute gas final with teammate Ryan Cavalieri on the second spot. From the start, The Ryans checked out from a star-studded field. Battling till the end, Ryan Maifield and his LRP-powered, JConcepts-equipped RC8.2 out-dueled teammate Ryan Cavalieri’s Pro-Line-equipped RC8.2.
However, not to be left out of the winner’s circle, Ryan Cavalieri made good on his Top Qualifying position in the Expert Electric Buggy class by takingĀ home the win with his soon-to-be-released LRP iX8 speed control and eBuggy converted RC8.2.
HPI RTR D8S RC Car by HPI Racing Europe
The D8S is fully equipped and ready to race. With the TF-40 radio, you can adjust everything you'd expect on more expensive computer radios. The SB-5 steering servo is extra-powerful to handling full-throttle race conditions, which means it can handle the punishment of steering the wheels at full speed, the ultimate test of a servo's strength. Aiding clean-up of the chassis at the end of the race day is the easily removable radio tray, just a few screws takes all the electronics out of the chassis to keep fluids and water away from expensive servos, receiver, etc. We know racers like to get dirty, but a clean car is a happy car! (Note: Servos shown in picture are for illustrative purposes only.) With the race-winning suspension design and features of the D8 on board, you will experience a pure driving feel and total adjustability like never before!...
Description Of The Major Parts Of Nitro Rc Cars Suspension And ...
When is thinking about getting an RC nitro buggy, one may be thinking about what it is and what it does. A nitro buggy belongs to the class of nitro rc cars. Taking a closer look at all the parts that make up the nitro buggy is as follows: first, the general look of the rc nitro buggy is they come in different scales such as 1/16th, 1/18th and 1/5th. The most popular being the 1/16th and 1/8th scale sizes. The smallest is the 1/16th and measures around 7 to 7.5 inches long, 10 to 10.5 inches wide with a wheel base of 12.25 to 13.25 inches. The largest nitro buggy in the class of nitro rc cars is the 1/5th scale which uses a 2 cycle gas engine to power the car. As mentioned before, the 1/16th and 1/8th are the most popular with size making the big difference between these two classes but do share the same kind of parts.
The 1/16th rc nitro buggy derives its power from the very small 0.05 cubic inch nitro engine it posses. The 1/8th scale rc nitro buggy gets its power from the variety of nitro engines available in this class of nitro rc cars carrying from the small 0.18 cubic inch to the large 0.30 cubic inch engines. Using the 0.30 does not guarantee you the fastest speeds on the race track. Note that rc b nitro buggy gets most of its speed from a persons driving ability.Another factor that influences the speed is how the suspension is tuned tire choice and the weight oil in the differentials. Looking at the different parts of a 1/8th scale nitro buggy; it has three different sections. The first parts are found in the centre section of the chassis, second part is the rear suspension and third part is the front suspension.
