Is there a way of converting a 4wd 1/8 nitro rc buggy to a rwd? Specifically Hobao Hyper 7?
Unless your motor is in the front, you basically just got to take out the driveshaft. Refer to your manual that you used to build your nitro buggy.

2011 RC Oktoberfest: Team Associated Wins 1/8 Nitro Buggy ...
On October 16 the Team Associated RC8.2 buggy made its racing debut in the Philippines at the CV Off-Road Track in Quezon City for the 2011 RC Oktoberfest. Raffy Abello, who experienced radio problems during qualifying, started in the B Main. After the 30-minute final run of the B Main, Raffy Abello took the top position with a lead of 7 laps over the second position. This gave the RC8.2 the perfect opportunity to battle it out in the A Main since the top two finishers are bumped up into the A. As the A-Main finals began, Raffy Abello slowly crept up the field, having started from the back of the grid. Within 5 minutes, the RC8.2 was already leading the A Main. Throughout the 45-minute finals, the RC8.2 kept the lead for more than a combined 30 minutes over the seconnd placer Jordan Go, who was the National Champion (of the Philippines). In the end, Raffy Abello with his RC8....
2011 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion Podium Pics! | RC Insider - RC Car ...
We arrived mid afternoon yesterday at ARC Raceway in Temecula, CA to watch the finals of the 2011 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion… What a great afternoon and evening of mains…. It would turnout to be a tire battle between Pro-Line and JConcepts in both the Expert Buggy and Truggy mains… Both tire companies would claim a victory…
Ryan Maifield of Team Associated/JConcepts/Sidewinder/etc. would take the win in Exp Buggy. At the beginning of the race Maifield opened up a five second lead after a few laps. Later on it looked like there was a battle brewing between the two because Cavalieri was closing the gap on Maifield with a 2 second gap. In the end Cavalieri wouldn’t be able to make up the difference and catch Maifield… Maifield would take the win with Cavalieri in 2nd and Tessmann in 3rd…
In Expert Truggy Ty Tessmann was lights out from tone to tone… The only driver that would challenge Tessmann early on was Cavalieri but a mistake by Cavalieri hanging his truggy on the pipe allowed Tessmann to build his lead even more. Another interesting fact Cavalieri was the only one to finish on the lead lap with Tessmann… Adam Drake would go on to take the final podium spot…

It just means if your real car breaks down, you can't turn to your 1/8-scale buggy as a viable way to get to work. Why? Because it's a toy and not a real car. I know why calling them toys gets under some people's skin. It's because calling them toysRadio control Car Action (blog) - Dec 31, 1969
