I am interested in getting a mini laptop computer and I have a choice between a 8.9" screen laptop or a 10.1" screen.
It may be if you are showing tutoring sessions to others on the computer. The smaller the screen the harder it is to see things like videos and instructional material.
I would go for the 10" screen for that reason.

I also fight with my mother a lot and I understand how you feel about teaching her over and over again. Many parents now grew up with out all the technology we have now so they didn't get the chance to learn about computers and cell phones and Ipod as they grew up like we did.

St. Edmond Catholic Schools is even closer to realizing its one-to-one initiative.
At the end of this semester, St. Edmond High School students and all of its faculty will all benefit from the inclusion of many new technologies.
"One-to-one is simply, we're giving all the ninth through 12th (grade) students and all our preschool through 12th faculty Apple laptops, really to enhance our learning," St. Edmond High School Principal John Howard said.
The high school students will each receive their own laptop for use during to school and to take home during the year. In doing this, the Catholic school hopes to keep up-to-date with technology and global trends, Howard said.
"That's what we see in society," he said. "Technology is always advancing.
The upgrade will also keep St. Edmond competitive with other area schools, Howard said.
"We have a lot of other schools around that have done or are doing it. Newell-Fonda, Spirit Lake, Van Meter, South Hampton," he said. "We think it's a way to not only enhance our curriculum, but to bring more students in.
