I bought this when it was first released for my 2 1/2 year old. I hooked it up to my old Dell with Windows XP (this is not Mac compatible - and I converted to iMac in Dec). I bought the additional Dora & Diego software, and the Clifford software will be installed on her 3rd birthday in 10...

I bought my three year old an inexpensive laptop to play her preschool games on (DELL Inspiron 7500). I'm trying to connect it to the internet but I'm not sure how. Under hardware I see the above mentioned item listed.

Nearly 90% of all brain growth occurs in the first five years of life. Parents can capitalize on this impressionable time by improving and varying the sights, sounds, and smells in a child's immediate surroundings. With this eminently practical guide in hand, parents can actively promote the motor, cognitive, and social skills that will make a difference in a child's readiness for formal, academic learning later on. Ideal for busy parents, Make Your Own Preschool Games describes quick and inexpensive-to-make activities that can be assembled from materials found at home--paper cups, bottle caps, clothespins, magazines, shoeboxes, and grocery bags. Designed to be used as part of dynamic play, these games will help expand a child's math, science, art, music, language, reading, and writing knowledge while providing the necessary and fun one-on-one bonding time that every child craves with her parents.
Laurel grad is published sci-fi fantasy author
Rebecca (Hawkins) Gahagan is a Laurel hometown girl whose journalized memories of her father morphed into a published science fiction fantasy novel.
Gahagan graduated from Laurel High School with the Class of 1999 and went on to earn an art degree from Montana State University Billings. Her first published book, “Josephine Lost,” hit the shelves in August.
Gahagan has had a life-long passion for reading. As a young girl, books attracted her like a magnet, and she became totally immersed in volumes during a seven-year stint with Borders Bookstore.
“I have always been a huge reader. I found my favorite book in middle school, “The Blue Sword,” by Robin McKinley. Gahagan promptly became an avid follower of sci-fi fantasy and read everything in that genre she could get her hands on.
At Borders she found her dream job, working in the midst of wall-to-wall books. The duty she delighted in the most was unpacking incoming shipments, and it was ever exciting to pore over the latest releases.
