Great First Piano!!!
We got this piano for our two boys (4 & 2-1/2) to help them begin to learn how to play music. This piano makes it so easy for them with the colored key code that fits above the keys so that they can follow along with the music book. The look on their faces as they play (and sing along) with the...

I'm going to teach the piano to kids who are JUST starting out the instrument. The problem is, I have a to-be-student child who is about 3. She can't read nor write, loves to chat and has the attention span of a, well, 3 year old.

Replacement piano ready for fundraiser in Musser Park
Vandals may have destroyed a piano in Musser Park last month, but they won't stop Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County from making music a big part of its fundraiser in the park Saturday.
The piano, one of several placed around the city in public locations as part of the Lancaster Keys for the City program, was heavily damaged by vandals July 16.
It was damaged so badly that it couldn't be played anymore. And that was bad news for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is holding its Men Grilling from the Heart event Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.
But there's good news, too.
After reports of the vandalism, Big Brothers Big Sisters received seven offers of pianos to replace the damaged one.
They selected a player piano. It fits in nicely with Saturday's event, which has a western theme.
"There was a lot of sadness after what happened (to the piano)." said Jennifer Rader, events and communications manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Welcome to your wonderful universe of movies. As one begin encountered this Music Micro Course it happens to be fun to be able to that you’re most likely also participating in an exceedingly important national aspect from around the world which happens to be going on for years and years. Did you no doubt know that pianos in many form had been around to get over 500 many years? Some with the first instruments of your kind were being created within the late Medieval Period as well as were labeled as clavichords. That they a incredibly light, metallic sound because of the small hand-pounded ‘hammers’ were built from very light-weight metal-like content. These hammers arranged strings of varying lengths to generate different hues or pitches. Next cousin to your clavichord seemed to be the harpsichord made by Cristofori within Italy approximately 1450 ANY. D. This pc style keyboard instrument found a mechanism there called that plecktrum which often ‘plucked’ that strings as well as produced a good slightly much better sound than its forerunners. Whether you’re playing an acoustic guitar, which is a closest in accordance with the track record just mentioned, or a digital keyboard, you’re now involved in a 100′s of years old musical talent....
Cassette Kids and Kids at Risk at Pianos : Beyond Race
They were followed by fellow Sydney natives “Kids At Risk, who were doing limited US touring in support of the soundtrack to Australian hero film “Griff The Invisible,” which they composed in full. They were, however quick to clarify to me while sitting at the bar before the show, that they in fact were not a film music band, and that was not what they actually sounded like when they played out. “We’re generally fast and loud,” explained bassist Larissa Rate, after momentarily struggling to define what they did sound like. I’d seen some video and thought I had a rough idea of what to expect, however I was completely blown away as soon as the band took stage and kicked in to their first song. They played a quick, melodic, punk infused set with very little between song banter, and allot of energy. Their sound varied pretty widely but was linked together by a combination of punk and English indie rock influences. All three bands were solid, and are worth checking out. Kids at Risk in particular were a fantastic suprprise, and while hey might not be back for a bit, are worth keeping on your radar.Cassette Kids will be playing at Lower East side mainstay Pianos every Tuesday in August with a rotating cast of equally solid support acts.
