Perfect 1st Drum Kit for 2- to 6-Year-Olds
As a toy for very young children (ages 2-6 would be appropriate), this is a fine beginning drum kit. It comes with two drum sticks, head phones, and bass pedal. My three-year-old can't get enough of it, and the simple selections and very basic rhythms are perfect for him.My biggest critique is... -
Low quality
I bought this at Target, and the rightmost pad stopped working after a week. They let me exchange it for a new one, and then a week later the leftmost pad broke.This was a lot of fun-- for the price. But it just isn't designed to take even a mild beating, which is the whole point of a drumset....

I'm trying to convince my music teacher to let me play the drums in music class and he said that I need to fulfill the fowling criterias. Have a A average on the current instrument;that I have.
Pads would help a bit, but not in the long run. From past experience, I like the kits from Alesis, because their drum module is pretty good.
Personally, go for acoustic drums if you can. They sound really good, and are much easier to play than electric.

With roots in both San Jose, and the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, Los Tigres began humbly in the late 1960s as a band of brothers who worked their way to top.
The group became the first act signed to Fama Records. Founded by Art Walker, Fama grew to become the leading Spanish-language record label on the West Coast. Walker encouraged Los Tigres to develop an electric style, trading in their traditional acoustic sound for one incorporating bass, drums, and electric guitar.
The group also adopted a modern approach to songwriting, emphasizing contemporary social themes common to Mexican-Americans. Their first hit, the corrido "Contrabando y Traición," is emblematic of this style.
