Ink Comes Off!!!
We bought these for our 11 month old twins that LOVE music. However, after a few days, we noticed both of them were covered in black ink and could not figure out where it was coming from. We then discovered that it was the ink on their egg shakers! Who knows what is in the ink and they have... -
Super music fun
These are great for any toddler. Our 2 year olds love to dance and make music. They are a safe choice because they're too big to swallow, and makes a noise that isn't too loud or annoying for parents.

I heard someone say you push for every 1 2 3 4 count, regardless of what happens in between. So basically you push everytime you'd tap your foot, with a pull in between, right?

Beach Buddies on KSAL
Thad Beach and "Chicken Joe" - flew into the studio Friday morning for fun and laughs on KSAL.
Known around the area for his programs that engage children with learning through songs, Beach had help from Rich and Jeff during the third hour of the KSAL Morning News.
Both got a chance to play egg shakers - then chimed in with a triangle and gong.
Beach took listeners on a musical trip around the world - as "Chicken Joe" made some discoveries along the way.
The talented performer plays a range of instruments, from guitar, harmonica, jaw harp and kazoo - which provide the perfect backdrop to his clever and witty songs.
Born and raised in Ohio, Thad Beach now makes his home in Salina and can be found around the area providing fun at events and parties.
"I love teaching kids about music - and letting them reach into my -bucket of instruments- so they can get a hands on experience with some of these unique instruments," he said.
Music Study Studio: Egg Shakers
I know it isn't Easter, but I thought I would share these egg shakers I made. I use them all year round! I have used these for rhythm activities a lot and it is so much fun for my students! I have them pick one or two, and we sit together on the floor and sing a song shaking the egg shakers. The shakers keep the pulse. After they have gotten the pulse down, then we make it a little trickier by keeping the pulse by passing them to each other. This is only one way that you could use these! There are many things you can do with them! First you need to have plastic eggs that open up. If you have any left over from Easter you can use those. Fill the eggs with popcorn kernels, rice, or beans (I find that rice works best). If you have a hot glue gun, now is the time to pull it out! After it is warm put a small line of hot glue around one open end and then close shut....
How to Make Musical Easter Egg Shakers | Crazy About My Baybah

Excited to start getting things ready for Easter, I dug out Baybah’s Easter basket from the garage. During my search, I found a couple of cracked and mismatched Easter eggs. I did not want to throw them away, so I thought why not recycle them and make a craft! I have been wanting to make Musical Egg Shakers for Baybah, and thought this was the perfect opportunity.
I knew I could recycle some things around the house like the cracked Easter eggs I found, newspaper, and beads left over from another craft. Plus, any excuse for me to paper mache is always a good thing! I cannot wait until Baybah finds the Easter Egg Shakers in his Easter basket:)
