3 cats suddenly fighting like cats and dogs
Q: I have three neutered cats, and for six years they all lived together peacefully. Out of the blue a few months ago they started fighting like mad. Horrible screeching, facial cuts, bleeding and flying fur everywhere. It's been awful. We've tried everything - separating them, Feliway diffusers, sprays, moving furniture around, vet health checks, new toys, scratching posts, all without success.
Finally, we took the aggressor to our vet and he proscribed Clomicalm. Medicated for the first week, our cat was an absolute zombie. He just sat in the corner with wide eyes, barely moving.
After another week our vet recommended reducing the dose and the cats were back to fighting worse than ever. Help!
