I mean besides the style. Do they sound any different? I'm thinking of buying a baldwin piano, but I don't know if there is any more of a difference between the two pianos besides the style. I really want to learn how to play piano though, so I am.
Going against most of your answers. A professional (45" or more) vertical (upright) piano is going to be better than a small grand (5' 6" and under) because the string length on the upright will be longer, and the area of the soundboard will be MUCH greater.

The serial number is 53640 on my Chappell baby grand piano. I estimate it is about 90 years old (just a guess) but I am wondering if anyone knows a website that could tell me the year my piano was made? Thanks in advance.

A lively, creative bunch of kids at a haemophilia camp proved that the disease is no barrier to leading a full, healthy life.
THE children and teenagers at the camp looked and behaved like any other boys. On the surface, no one would have been able to tell them apart from other children and teenagers.
Yet, these ones have inherited a blood disorder called haemophilia; the blood lacks a protein Factor Eight (VIII) or Factor Nine (IX) and therefore cannot clot properly, leading to spontaneous or prolonged bleeding, especially in the muscles, joints and internal organs. When this happens, ugly bruises develop.
This condition, which is also marked by painful and inflamed joints, affects primarily males while the carriers are females.
Co-hosted by the Taiwan Haemophilia Society and Bayer HealthCare, the 3rd Asia Pacific Haemophilia Camp was held in Uni-Resort of Mawudu in Hsinchu county, Taiwan, recently. It brought together those affected by the condition, to learn and share about haemophilia, and build friendships with fellow patients. The camp also aimed to motivate, encourage and empower patients and their caregivers. Over 100 participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and China attended the camp.

Jason Washburn contacted me and sent me a beta version of this VSTi he made with the Maize Sampler and he offered me to distribute it. After some tweaks, we are happy to release the version 1.
He used the natural samples of my Baby Piano free sample set. This means that the Baby Piano VST corresponds to the “Real white keys” program of the free set, the real acoustic Baby Piano mapped from G3 to F5 only on white keys. The pitch heard does not match the key pressed except for G3 and it has velocity layers.
