Will County Project Pride inducts four new members to hall of fame

JOLIET — Joliet Will County Project Pride will add four new members to the Hall of Pride at its 26th Annual Hall of Pride Banquet on Nov. 8.

The latest honorees will bring the number of local residents in the Hall of Pride to 123.

Honored in the Class of 2011 are University of St. Francis President Michael Vinciguerra, Joliet Township Alumni Relations Director Lynne Lichtenauer, Joliet Area Historical Museum Board member and Realtor Virginia Ferry, and an associate professor at the University of St. Francis, Ingrid Goobar-Szleifer, who has helped thousands in Joliet’s immigrant community.

The Hall of Pride with more than 100 plaques can be visited at the Joliet Main Branch Library’s Second Floor Meeting Room.

The event is open to the public. All tickets, which cost $40, must be purchased prior to the event from any Joliet Will County Project Pride Board member. Ticket information is available at the website http://jolietwillcountyprojectpride.org.
