One of the best systems ever
Since I was a little kid I have always been a Sega loyalist, the only Sega systems I never had were the Sega Master system and the Game Gear. I always loved my Genesis and I still play it to this day, but the one thing that always ticked me off was how the Super Nintendo always got more coverage...

So I picked up a sega genesis the other day. It came with Sonic 2 and Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3. I plan on getting a six button controller. My question is what other games should i get for the sega and what about sega cd or sega 32x any good?...
While the Sega Cd and the Sega 32X did have a few good games, they had so few games in general that I don't think it'd really be worth tracking them down, unless you found them really cheap somewhere.

A new generation of hardware is not important. A new generation of games, take full advantage of that equipment has to offer - it's what's important. While adding better graphics and sound can be great, goal, of course, is to make better games. The new technology should make new types of games available. It has not really happened, apart from the interface changes based Nintendo, the current generation of consoles. But oh, how it happened in 1989 and 1990, when Sega and Nintendo released the SNES and Genesis in the days of 16-bit system. And one of these games is Phantasy Star II.
The kind of role play was ripe for a major change, too. It became popular in the 1980s thanks to games like Wizardry, and this led to a lot of games based almost entirely on combat mechanics - or as we call it today, correct. Most RPG on console or computer, were built on repetition and leveling up. And they were hard. Not great drive - hard-drive, as people do crazy or children-who-don't-know-best all-hard. There were some exceptions computer game - for example, Ultima IV Dungeon Master - but only a few.The large gap between the PC and console, RPG Western and Japanese manga inspiration and gravel were, in practice, yes, as players tend to play one or the other because of their platforms. But the formal distinction between, say, Tale of the bard and Final Fantasy are negligible.

Do you think the game could have been better without a license and instead with original Treasure properties?
It can get pretty frenzied with everything on screen in Astro Boy…what is it about Treasure games that allows them to deal with so much action happening on screen at once without it seeming overwhelming?
What do you guys think about the graphics? It almost seems to me like the GBA is not a limitation and instead a system that plays more on Treasure’s use of simple, expressive animations. It wouldn’t really look out or place beside Guardian Heroes on the Saturn.
What other childhood TV animated favorite would you want to see Treasure attempt next: Captain Planet or He-Man…and what would that game be like?
