My review of the airsoft (available in living color here on this site if you care to refresh) was based on two fundamental questions - one personal and one affiliated company. I spent much time at the Festival de Paintball talk about these issues with many other business participants, and while these discussions have not significantly changed my point of view, they have affected the way I chose to deal with them.

On a personal level - I disagree with the rebuilding military aspects of the game for two reasons.First, the veterans that I had the privilege to combine both and work with closely over the past 35 years introduced me to one culture (their own) which has been widely abused by any hint of " make-believe-war "- whether in the paintball, video games, toys and airsoft. This attitude and the reaction, over the years, become mine as I gained an appreciation for the sacrifices veterans made, people they left behind and import that is associated with things like pride unit.I saw and heard many of them murmuring of a paintballer wear a unit patch "for fun", a patch that they had not won, who was paid in blood and death, and I understand perfectly the nature of the problem and have adopted it as my own.
