Customer Reviews:
  1. Non-Stick Bliss
Boy, this is a hard pan to find! Since Amazon.com did not have this item in stock, I contacted T-Fal to see if it was still available and where I might buy it. Here's the reply that I got from T-Fal:========================================We received your e-mail via T-falUSA.com, and we thank you...
  2. Not the same pan
Those who complain that they found this pan model (E9380864) at a lower price elsewhere are confused. They were looking at a different, quite inferior product. This model has been out of stock in stores and internet for months. The other, cheaper model has been mistaken for this one. I know; I...

Can an EMP caused by solar flares fry electronics globally?
Motherboards - IMG_2329

I've been researching the effects that electromagnetic pulses have on basic electronic devises (cellphones, computers, cameras, etc.). And now I understand that certain flares from the sun can induce EMPs.

Yes some electronics on earth can (and do) fry due to EMP. Even a massive solar flare or CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) will not fry all the equipment.

Hmm, Spend $2 or $100? The Choice Is Yours

Question: What's the main difference between a $99.99 HDMI cable for your TV and a $2.22 cable? Answer: $97.77.

I'm not so geeky as to normally devote an entire column to the subject of picking the right cable for your television set. But the ongoing scam to sell you overpriced, literally gold-plated cables, thereby making up for the money lost on those deeply discounted flat-panel TVs, is enough to motivate me.

Here in San Diego you can buy an 8-foot HDMI cable to connect your TV to your satellite or cable or Blu-ray player for a penny shy of a hundred bucks, or you can buy a 10-foot cable that does mostly the same thing, offering no noticeable difference in sound or picture quality, for $2.22. Your choice.

The monster in high-priced cable is—wait for it— Monster Cable . Although this year the company began offering a wider range of price points, the company mostly has dominated high-end audio and video cable products, including a 100-foot HDMI cable that has a suggested price of $599.95.

Fry's Electronics Gives a Hard SWTOR Release Date? | TORWars

Did Fry’s slip up? Is there inside information that BioWare is sharing with retailers? Do they know something we, the fans, don’t? Are they letting the cat out of the bag on poor old BioWare?

Sorry to say, friends, but don’t get all excited about this. Retailers routinely input estimated dates (something very similar just happened with GameStop), and those estimates are based on….well, their based on the best guess of the person inputting the data. The release window still remains “Holiday 2011″, and nothing more specific is known at this time. Neither Fry’s nor any other retailer knows more than everyone else.

As much as I wish it were true, it’s simply far, far more likely this is simply because the Fry’s system doesn’t easily take a release “date” of Holiday 2011.Read more...
