The first time I attempted this, I did this with no problems to my PC which runs XP. However I am now unable to transfer subsequent pictures. The PC recognises the removable disk and the DCIM folder, but when I open this all I get is a shortcut to...
Right click on the DCIM folder then click properties. The full path should show and its undoubtedly pointing to your My Documents>My Pictures folder on your PC. How this happened I cant say.
You have to change the path to the drive and folder which the camera
