Customer Reviews:
  1. Good Quality, Reasonable Price, Nice Feature Set
These 2 way radios work great over a 1/2 mile radius (our most commonly used range). Apart from the initial 16 hour charge, they work right out of the box (actually one of those pesky clamshells you have to cut open) without having to read the instructions. Each unit comes with a rechargeable...
  2. Great product!
Exactly what I wanted... I only use these on occasion for car drives where I need to keep a bunch of people gathered and organized en route to another place or just for a drive. The range on these is awesome and the whole time I had to communicate with the other walkie talkie from this set I...

If you were a 16 year old boy, would you like walkie talkies for Christmas?

My mom and I were in charge of buying a Christmas gift for a boy in a childrens home. We know nothing about him other than the fact that he is 16 years of age. She went and bought walkie talkies, is that alright?

If you kept the receipt you might want to return it. Walkie talkies are mostly for children under age 12.
16 year old boys like hoodie jackets, sports equipment footballs, basketballs, soccer balls etc..,
they love music and video games and even DVD's.

With the Ring of a Bell, It's Back to School

Norcross Elementary School was buzzing this morning, as administrators flitted between groups of teachers, walkie-talkies crackling, and students filed in with wide-eyed anticipation.

“Everybody’s very excited,” said Norcross Elementary Principal Dora Hill. “The parents were here bright and early!” Hill said that overspill from registration meant that many families showed up this morning as early as 7 a.m., with freshly clothed kids in tow, hoping to iron out the details on the first day.

Mayra Zuniga was one of those parents—and she needed one more piece of paperwork, so she’d have to come back the next day. She said the extra day of anticipation would be tough for her new kindergartener. “He was so excited,” she said. “He really wanted to come.” She said she wondered if a meltdown would happen on the big day, but he had been doing just fine.

Principal Hill said that the final registration numbers are not in, but that she expects that they are either “on the mark” or slightly more than expected after Thursday’s registration and the morning rush.

After downloading the application, you are prompted to choose your own contact list. Easy enough, right? Well, I was not in my contact list clean (weird) so I had to go ahead and add myself.

Then choose your victim, er ... a friend in your contact list or by typing into the search box or open your address book. After selecting the contact, an invitation to join your network HeyTell will open in a messaging interface. When they accept, HeyTell automatically added to your "friends" tab in your contact list, making it very easy to determine who is available to discuss.

HeyTell design is very user friendly, with its large, orange "Hold and Speak" button taking up the bottom quarter of the screen. The app is smooth, uncluttered, allowing the user to get down to business without agitated with settings.

The center "Recent conversations" message reads like a classic voice mailbox with the date / time as the sender or the recipient's name and an indicator of the disclosure to open a screen showing all conversations with the individual particular, which are recorded and can be played offline....
