Woman charged with stabbing youth with knife

BRATTLEBORO -- A Jamaica woman allegedly stabbed a male under the age of 18 in the stomach at her home shortly before 6 p.m. Monday evening. The victim was rushed to Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, where he was treated for a one-and-a-half inch long knife wound.

Dana L. Bisceglia, 38, appeared in court Tuesday to answer to two felony assault charges, each punishable in Vermont by up to 15 years in jail. According to court documents, she was held on $2,500 bail prior to her arraignment. The judge imposed a 24-hour curfew in her home at the arraignment but did not request bail.

Bisceglia allegedly stabbed the male minor during an altercation near the front door of her Smith Road home. Her three children were present at the home during the incident, according to police.
