Skechers brand continues to grow.
Skechers USA Inc., the maker of Manhattan Beach-based fashion footwear, announced Tuesday it has signed a licensing agreement with Sakar International Inc. for the production of electronics and accessories youth branded Skechers Skechers and characters children's cartoons.
The new line is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of next year at retailers in the country.
Sakar designs based in Edison, NJ, and manufactures consumer electronics.
Under the agreement, Sakar will design, produce and distribute various Skechers brand electronics and accessories, including MP3 players, headphones molded, speakers, digital cameras, cases, skins, and flash drives USB inspired by the styles of Skechers shoes.
The products are designed for boys and girls from elementary to secondary school.
